AEROSMITH Guitarist 'Can't Imagine' What MICHAEL JACKSON's Life Was Like

July 1, 2009

The Pulse of Radio reports: AEROSMITH guitarist Joe Perry has worked with a lot of the same music business personnel as the late Michael Jackson, and says he even met Jackson once, during the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony at which AEROSMITH was inducted. But Perry did not really know the late "King of Pop," and told The Pulse of Radio he's cautious about believing everything that's being said about Jackson since his shocking death last week. "I can't imagine what his life must have been like, and the things he had to deal with," he said. "You know, you read all the crap in the paper and who knows. There's so much stuff out there, so much rumors, so much going on, you know. There's no doubt that he, you know, saw the world and lived in a different kind of world than the rest of us could know, but unless I see stuff with my own eyes, I just don't put much credibility to it."

Jackson died at his rented Los Angeles home last Thursday (June 25). The cause of death is still yet to be determined.

The 50-year-old pop icon was about to make a comeback with a series of 50 shows at London's O2 Arena.

AEROSMITH is currently on tour with ZZ TOP and next performs on Wednesday night (July 1) in Cincinnati.
